As a society, we are faced with an increasingly concrete and inhospitable cityscape where we have paved over the greenery and separated ourselves from the natural word; leading to people losing the ability to grow their own plants and product.
Currently, there is a massive market demand for fresh produce, greener environmental movements such as vegetarian, vegan, organic and overall healthier lifestyles. However, they do not have suitable living conditions, time, money or knowledge to invest in such a venture.
Podia aims to revitalize our cities in a sustainable manner by providing people with the tools to nurture and flourish in their urban environment.

Podia has a unique plant pod system which was designed to reduce the knowledge required to successfully plant and maintain a sapling. The plant pods are delivered to your door by the company services and simply placed directly into the Podia unit and wait for it to grow.
Due to the hydroponic water system, the plant will be provided with sufficient nutrients and does not need soil to grow as the roots will feed directly into the water basin. This system provides great efficiency, reducing the risk of killing plants while increasing the growing speed of your produce.
In addition, Podia has been made to be fully adaptable to suit your living conditions. The product caters for both a modular stacking design or a single hub which could be mounted to rails or simply placed in your kitchen.
Podia also packs all the features you may require to keep a clean and discrete vertical garden. Located in the base is compartment to store tools and other items which could include your plant nutrients. The base of the product is filled with nutrient rich water which circulates throughout the Podia system. In addition, this provides great stability for the product making it safe for children or pets that may encounter it.

An interactive phone application that allows for the user to look after their plant virtually! Your virtual plant health is linked to the health of your Podia. As you feed your virtual pet, you are also feeding your podia plants! This means you can check in on your plants health and harvest opportunities when ever you get a free second during your busy day.
in addition, the application allows for distribution purposes with your community, plant pod delivery to your door, and sales to local cafes which desire fresh produce.
